How can Artificial Intelligence transform healthcare while remaining ethical, transparent and human-centred?
This was one of the key questions explored at the Health Nexus Forum 2026 – "Ethics, Policy & Innovation in the Quantum Age: Shaping Responsible AI through Digital Literacy and Governance", held in Leuven, Belgium.
Representing Tsetis Pharmaceutical Group, Spyros Kintzios, Corporate Development and Strategy Director, participated in the interactive panel discussion "From Pipelines to Platforms: Pharma Innovation", which explored how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping pharmaceutical innovation, fostering new models of collaboration and redefining the role of the pharmaceutical industry in the age of Artificial Intelligence.
The forum, organised by the Nanopoulos Foundation and the Digital Health Literacy & Policy Hub, founded by Professor Dimitri V. Nanopoulos and Dr Olga Tzortzatou Nanopoulos, brought together leading representatives from the international academic community, policymakers, multilateral organizations and the innovation ecosystem to help shape the future of responsible AI in healthcare.
The programme featured forward-looking discussions on the digital transformation of healthcare, digital and AI literacy, AI governance and regulatory frameworks, emerging biomedical applications of Artificial Intelligence, and the conditions required to ensure the responsible, evidence-based and human-centred adoption of new technologies.
The Nanopoulos Foundation, a New York-based non-profit organisation, promotes science, culture and social well-being through international initiatives such as the Digital Health Literacy & Policy Hub, which advances the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare.
In May 2025, the Foundation organised the 3rd Biomed-AI Summer School, where Julia Tseti, President & CEO of Tsetis Pharmaceutical Group, was invited as a keynote speaker, becoming the first representative of the private sector to participate in this distinguished international initiative.
